HELP: Telephone Gadget Design

I need assistance to build a circuit that will interface two Telco lines,
one I will call in on (from lets say a pay telephone) and the second I wish
to bridge to the first to make an outgoing call on. The problem is:

   1) I need to isolate the "incoming line" from the "outgoing line" so as
not to blow up the CO. (If for some reason the "outgoing line" gets a call I
dont want it voltage to "feed back" into my "incoming line".)

   2) I need to latch a relay from the "incoming lines" ring voltage (110
vac / 30 cps) to pick up & seize the "outgoing line" and hold it till the
"incoming line" is dropped (when I hang up from the outside phone).

I would VERY MUCH appreciate someone helping me to design this gadget.
Its for my own use and I would be more then happy to explain my full
application to anyone who may be kind enough to help & draw a workable
schematic I can follow to build one.

I seldom get to read this group so PLEASE E-mail an answer or
better yet PLEASE call me (toll free) to discuss. I can be reached at this #
anytime !!!!

   MANY, MANY, MANY thanks !!!
   …..and a great holiday to all !!!!

What is a Data Entry Systems Scriptwriter?

Hello,
I recently got something called a ScriptWriter, made
by Data Entry Systems. It is a clipboard-sized system with a
digitizer(?) instead of paper, and 2 lines of LCD up top.
Inside is a Zilog Z64180, some PROMs and RAM, and batteries.
Its only connection to the world is a 4 pin connector.
The PROMs were (C) 1988, so it can’t be older than that…

As part of a load of junk that a company was throwing out,
it came w/o docs, cables or stylus, so
I wonder if anybody has seen/heard of it.

Specifically, does it need a stylus like that used with
ordinary digitizers, or what?
And how does it communicate whatever you enter into it?
Is Data Entry Systems still around?

Any information would be much appreciated.

Source for inexpensive speed controller

My wife has a pottery wheel which was built in the ’70s.  Unfortunately
the speed controller burned out.  I’m now looking for an inexpensive
($50-100) replacement.  The motor is 0-100DC, 7amps.  Surce is obviously
120AC.  Any ideas as to companies which would sell such a thing?

Q: device for multiple input to a monitor

Hi,

My group is looking for a device that will allow input to Mitsubishi 35in
monitor from a number of computers. We would like to have a ‘box’ where
all these computers will be connected to and a switch on it that would
pick the output to the monitor. We have several IBM and SGI workstatons
that have RGB output, PC and a Power Mac. If you have or know someone who
does these devices, please let me know.

Thanks,
