Gould Osc. Transistor identity?

I have a gould 15mhz OS255 oscilliscope and have noticed that
transistors TR407 and TR408 are missing.

Not having a manual, or even a schematic, I have no idfea as to their
identity and would be grateful if anyone could tell me what they are.

Anything bearing the slightest resemblance to a reply gratefully

There is software available on the Electronic Guide. Last month we had
a simulator for the MCS51 processors, now we have a program for
developing filter systems. The program is an official packet of
Motorola which is developed for the UAF42 chip.

TekTronics TekMeter Series Question

I am a student who is looking for a small portable AFFORDABLE oscilloscope. I
have been considering the Tektronics THM420 which is a small LCD digital
oscilloscope. I would also be interested in a used but working oscillosope of
any sort that would be good for general purpose tinkerings of a student. The
tektronics unit is really nice because it is small and portable, and it is
relatively cheap at $600, but $600 is an awful lot for me. I have an ancient
vaccum tube based dual channel Tectronics oscilloscope from the late 50′s /
early 60′s, but the zillion tubes that are inside of it need to be replaced.
I checked about how much it would cost me to replace the tubes and I almost
fainted !!!!!!!!!!!!!! It worked intermittently until now on some very
marginal tubes, but they have crossed the River Jordan permanently. I would
appreciate any help you can provide.

Student seeks used oscilloscope !!!!!

I am a mechanical engineering student at University of South Florida who

FLUKE 87 PROBLEMS

I have a FLUKE 87 and the TRUE RMS does not seem to be working. I
measured a 1 V peak sine wave (2 Vpp) from 60 Hz to around 20 KHz and
it should give me .707 but measures below .6 and varies from this
across the range. This was accurate in the past (several years ago)
and used it to tune the output of my function generator chip to
generate a true sine wave (AC RMS measurement). I had two other Flukes
(different models available at College)  that gave accurate
measurements across range. The contacts have been cleaned as well.

How is the TRUE RMS measured? I am concerned that it may be more than
just a calibration problem. Maybe the IC is defective.

I have only use this meter for low voltage and current measurements
and wonder what could cause this.

Thanks
